Our Firm
Esser CPA was founded in 2016 to deliver high-quality accounting, tax, and operations support services to small businesses. From the start, we have taken a collaborative and transparent approach to working with our clients by building relationships and working together to develop scalable, personalized solutions to meet their unique needs at every stage of business.
We love to hear the stories of our clients and collaborate with them to achieve their goals. We especially like to work with small business owners, whether they are just starting out or are experienced entrepreneurs looking for a trusted professional to walk with them along the way. We serve clients in a number of industries, including professional services, technology, media/creative services, marketing, retail, real estate and property management, and restaurants.
Esser CPA, PLLC is located in High Point, NC, but we operate in the cloud, leveraging a variety of resources to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service whenever and wherever they need it. Our clients are spread across multiple states, from the Carolinas to California.
Founder - Jon Esser
Jon has done a little bit of everything in his 20+ year career, from accounting to executive recruiting to international missions and development. Early in his career, he worked in auditing and SEC reporting with a Big 4 accounting firm and, later, with a large publicly traded organization. Jon has also served as Controller or CFO at companies in technology services, domestic manufacturing, and international development industries. Jon earned a BS and MS in Accounting as well as an MA in Ministry Leadership. He holds an active CPA license in the state of North Carolina.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters while fruitlessly attempting to interest them in anything sports or business related. Jon also enjoys volunteering with local schools and community organizations.
